Finding your energy again when work has worn you down

There is a particular kind of tiredness that comes from work, where you clock off with nothing left and even the things you usually enjoy feel like too much. It builds up quietly over busy weeks, until running on empty starts to feel like your normal. It does ease, and mostly through small, doable changes rather than one big overhaul.

Where your energy has gone

Work exhaustion usually builds when the demands on you outpace the chances you get to recover, week after week. It is both mental and physical, which is why it can leave you feeling flat, heavy and low on motivation all at once.
